The world's first 6-ton tiltrotor unmanned aerial vehicle has officially been assembled and produced in Wuhu

According to United Aircraft Group, on September 27th, the world's first 6-ton tiltrotor aircraft developed by United Aircraft Group was officially assembled and produced. This model, named "Lanthanum Shadow R6000", will debut at the 15th China International Aviation and Aerospace Exhibition (i.e. "Zhuhai Air Show") in November this year, and perform dynamic demonstration on site.

The LaYing R6000 tiltrotor aircraft combines the advantages of vertical takeoff and landing for helicopters and high-speed cruising for fixed wing aircraft. It does not require an airport runway, can fly at a speed of 550km/h, has a range of 4000 kilometers, a maximum payload of 2 tons, and a maximum ceiling of 7620 meters. It will become a powerful tool for cross provincial transportation and logistics. According to United Aircraft Group, the Lanying R6000 will make its debut at Hall 8 (Low altitude Economy Exhibition Hall) of the Zhuhai Air Show, showcasing wing rotation, rotor tilt, and blade folding on site.

Based on different purposes such as carrying passengers and cargo, the Lanthanide R6000 has released two configurations. The cargo hold space of the cargo type can meet the needs of most high-value product cargo transportation, achieving efficient long-distance delivery. At the same time, it can achieve fast arrival, efficient operation, and safety guarantee in emergency rescue scenarios. The manned model can be flexibly configured for 4-10 people to ride, serving for distribution, transportation, business, and family travel. It is a true "airborne small car" that will lead the new era of intelligent three-dimensional transportation with unprecedented convenience.

Tian Gangyin, Chairman and President of United Aircraft Group, stated that the Lanying R6000 is developed with the concept of "safety, ease of use, and economy". Its key technologies are independently controllable, and it adopts a light transmission redundancy flight control system design. It has strong intelligent perception and analysis decision-making capabilities, and can operate in extreme environments and emergencies. It has safety functions such as anti icing, lightning strike resistance, and anti fall collision. Standardized and automated manufacturing and assembly are used to improve economy, allowing this groundbreaking aircraft to truly fly into various industries.

Low altitude rise, the future is here. 2024 is known as the "first year of industrial drone outbreak", and industrial drones have been widely used in emergency rescue, logistics transportation, agricultural and forestry plant protection and other fields. Aviation grade unmanned aerial vehicles will become the trend of the next decade, which can be further divided into three categories based on safety level and range: short range, medium range, and long range. Nowadays, the popular eVTOL mainly focuses on short and medium range, while the Lanying R6000, as the pioneer of long-range point-to-point transportation unmanned aerial vehicles, has broad development prospects and will reshape new formats in the transportation and logistics industries.
